Dr Johanna Tambuté Power
MVDr, Veterinary Surgeon
Johanna qualified in 1999 from the Toulouse National Veterinary School in France. After two years working in a large animal practice in Brittany, France, she moved to Ireland in 2001. She carried on her passion for all animals and worked in mixed animal practice, developing a particular interest in companion animals. In 2009, she opened Blue Coast Veterinary Clinic, dedicated to small animals. Johanna has a keen interest in Canine and Feline Internal Medicine and Dermatology. She devotes most of her time to her primary passion, being a vet, while also looking after “La Chatterie”, a small boarding cattery which she opened in 2012, and caring for her Labrador, her Ragdoll, and her three Camargue horses. Johanna loves sports, supporting her local and county GAA teams, enjoying watching rugby, and following her native home soccer team, Marseille, in all competitions.
Emma Dunne
MVB, Veterinary Surgeon
Emma graduated as a veterinary surgeon from University College Dublin in 2014. She worked in Scotland for 3 years before returning home to Ireland. She joined us at Blue Coast Veterinary Clinic in 2020 and is also working in a busy small animal veterinary hospital in Waterford. She has a true dedication to every patient and brings fantastic knowledge and skills to our team. Emma has a keen interest in feline medicine, pain management, dentistry, and many other areas of veterinary care.
In her spare time, she loves being outside walking her dog, riding her horse or taking dips in the sea.
Cassandra Traynor Munoz
DVM, Veterinary Surgeon
Cassandra graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Veterinary Medicine, Budapest, in 2024. She’s always had a deep love for animals and was drawn to become a vet by the desire to give a voice to the voiceless. With a strong interest in animal welfare, she is committed to doing her best for every patient. She joined Blue Coast Veterinary Clinic in 2025 after completing a rotating internship in a busy small animal veterinary hospital in the UK. She has a strong interest in neurology. Cassandra is an excellent young veterinarian. We feel privileged to have her on our team. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in the countryside walking her two dogs, Sofia and Oscar, rescued during her time in Budapest, as well as watching rugby.
Marie Harrington
MVB, Veterinary Surgeon
Marie is a veterinary surgeon who graduated from University College Dublin in 2014. She began her career in farm animal practice before moving to New Zealand, where she developed a strong focus on companion animal medicine and surgery.
She enjoys the variety that first opinion practice brings and values building lasting relationships with both her patients and their owners. Marie has a particular interest in surgical cases and takes pride in delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and her two cats, Kiwi and Mango. In her free time, you’ll often find her gardening or sea swimming.
Rebecca Bourke Foley
RVN (Veterinary Nurse)
Becky graduated as a registered veterinary nurse in St John’s College, Cork, in 2009 and has been a pillar of the Blue Coast Veterinary Clinic nursing team since then. She brings years of experience in veterinary nursing. Her dedication to our patients is exceptional. If cats could talk, they would tell you how much they love her little massages when being handled in excellent manners! She has always been passionate about caring for animals and couldn’t imagine choosing a different career. She is a true asset to our clinic. She has a special interest in pain management and anaesthesia and strives to give her patients the best possible care.
Becky’s love for animals is shared with her three cats, and she enjoys nothing more than a walk in the woods with her three dogs.
Aine Ferncombe
RVN (Veterinary Nurse)
Aine qualified from St John’s College, Cork in 2022. She joined Blue Coast Veterinary Clinic at the end of 2025 and brought fantastic skills as a young veterinary nurse. She enjoys all aspects of nursing, especially anaesthesia. She is a great asset to our team, and her bubbly character is a little light of sunshine. In her spare time, Aine loves walking with her dog, Cocker Spaniel Max, in the Dungarvan area and spending time with her family and friends.
Dolores Foley
Veterinary Receptionist/Animal Assistant
Dolores joined us in January 2025 after working for years in the hospitality sector. She brings an invaluable contribution to our team with her dedication to animal welfare and well-being. She has been an active volunteer with Cork Cat Action Trust since 2023, fostering and being part of the Trap Neuter Return scheme, with Cork Wildlife Rescue since 2024, transporting animals and working on site, looking after sick and injured wildlife. This said it all, her compassion and dedication to animals’ lives are outstanding. In her free time, Dolores keeps busy with her dogs, rabbits and cats, not to mention the endless help she provides to other animals in the local community. She also has a keen interest in interior design and DIY, building a catio!!!
